IMATS haul!!; MAC Pro, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Crown Brush

I know its been awhile but I finally got a chance to post up the things I bought from Imats 2011 in Pasadena. I have to say this is the first time that I have been to this event and it be very crowded! >_< But it was still amazing and I had loads of fun. The first booth I went to was the Crown Brush booth and I picked up just a few things. Nothing too crazy.
I Picked up(from left to right) the deluxe soft fan brush for 5 bucks. A pointed pencil brush very much like the MAC 219 for around 3-5 bucks. I don't remember sorry. Two eyeliner brushes for 2 dollars each. A pointed crease comparable to the 224 for 6 dollars. A brow brush for 2 dollars a contour brush for 5 dollars. And a pro blending fluff brush for 6 dollars and its very comparable to the MAC 217.

My next stop was the LA Splash booth. I came to this booth because I only wanted to get the glitter base/primer for eyes, this product works great for glitter to stick on the lids instead of using eyelash glue. Which is much messier I think. but I ended up picking up some other glitters. These were five for thirty dollars. I got purple passion, silver torpedo, sparkling gold, pacific sand, and rock star.
The next thing I picked up was OCC lip tars which are beautiful and very pigmented! I need to get more. These are the colors Hush and Divine. They are $13 but marked to $10 at the show.
And lastly I picked these up at MAC. The first thing was the Invisible set powder(I love it already!!!) Also the face and body foundation in White. This looks great as a high lite without it looking too powdery. This product is used a lot on runway shows. and then I got the face and body foundation mixing medium. I use this to mix in with my cream concealers and foundations to give them more slip and it helps to last much longer.
This was everything I picked up at IMATS I was hoping to leave with much more but I didn't find the need for anything else. I already have a lot of makeup! I got to see many youtube makeup gurus but the only one I cared about to stand in line for a picture was Josh a.k.a Petrilude.
I am not a big fan of youtube makeup gurus but his work is amazing!! I would actually make time a day to sit down and watch his makeup videos. If you haven't heard of him you can find him here:
And by the way he is the reason why I bought all those glitters. lol he inspires me to rock some glittery lids!
Thats all for now! I hope you enjoyed my post and I will be posting more soon<3
Until next time

IMATS: Will you be there?

                                                                        (IMATS June 2008)

It's Finally here! The International Makeup Artist Trade Show. You've probably heard it a lot these days, For all of you who don't know what this is it is a event that is held by Makeup Artist Magazine once a year where a bunch of different makeup companies come together and sell they're products at amazing discounts. Some of the many companies who will be there will be MAC, Makeup Forever, Crown Brushes, and much much more to even mention. Not only that but they have an amazing makeup competition and seminars with famous makeup artist and gurus speaking about tips and new product launches. I would recommend this event to any makeup lover or junkie or aspiring artist trying to get in the business. This is a great place to build up your makeup kit and simply to get inspired.

Now, For the advice for all my newbies who are going to this for the first time. Buy your ticket early and online!!! I cannot stress this enough. Buying your ticket early can save you a lot. Also buying your ticket online will save you a lot of time. The first year I went there was the longest line ever for people who were just buying they're tickets. I did purchase mine on line so we just walked in and saved time. Another tip I have is to do your research on the makeup companies who will be there, and make a wish list. The experience of just being there with all this wonderful makeup and products can be overwhelming and I find it that if you have a wish list it can help you to stay focused on what you need. The first year I went I found myself being broke after only going to the first couple of booths. Because I didn't take the time to see what was around me! Big mistake I know. If you go to www.imats.net you can see a list of all the vendors who will be there as well as a map of exactly where they will be set up. And lastly wear comfy shoes. Remember this is a convention so there will be a lot of walking.

Thats pretty much it for that. I hope everyone has fun at the event and I will be sharing on the things I got soon. Hope this was helpful to some of you!

Blessings and until next time,
